SpatialKey is a next generation Information Visualization, Analysis and Reporting System. It is designed to help organizations quickly assess location based information critical to their organizational goals, decision making processes and reporting requirements
The system uses data from existing systems to help quickly help quickly assess and present information against a map or geospatial background. Using it you can quickly deliver geo referenced and comparative reports regarding data, incidents, records, locations and activities in a highly interactive web based application.
The SpatialKey technology preview provides a sample of the capabilities of SpatialKey using our visualization templates and several sample datasets. SpatialKey visualization templates are unique ways of looking at geotemporal (location+time) datasets. Our technology preview includes four visualization templates:
Though some templates have specific data requirements (for example, the Playback template requires data with a time component), most datasets can be loaded into at least a couple different visualization templates. For example, in our technology preview, we highlight the Wal-Mart store openings dataset in the Playback and Aggregate mapping templates.
Currently, visualizing your own data is not supported, Join our beta to stay up-to-date on SpatialKey releases. In the future we plan to release a desktop application that allows you to load your own geotemporal datasets (through an importer that geocodes addresses if necessary) into the visualization templates. For now, our Gallery page highlights a selection of sample datasets that can be visualized in the templates.
For the examples in our technology preview, all datasets are simple CSV files processed in the browser without any server side processing. Even large datasets, like the 7300-line Sacramento burglaries dataset, load in just a second or two. Optionally we offer our Enterprise and Custom solutions with server-backed versions of SpatialKey, running against databases with millions of rows. The ability to easily plug in local CSV data combined with the power and scalability of the server route show the flexibility of our visualization solutions.
SpatialKey requires only a browser and the Adobe Flash Player plugin, and has been tested to work well with a variety of OS/browser/Flash player combinations. To ensure you are getting the best experience and performance, please make sure you have the latest version of Flash Player.
