Linking multiple maps with pan and zoom

When creating a comparison for the same location across two or more maps you typically want the maps to stay in sync so that when you pan and zoom one, the others follow along. With SpatialKey this is very simple to enable from the map control bar. The steps below walk you through using this feature.

  1. Select a dataset and click “Create Report”
  2. Select the “Report Creator” template
  3. Click the “Add New Map” button and proceed through the mapping wizard. At this point you will have one map in the report.
  4. Add the other dataset that you would like to compare to the first. You can add the same dataset that you added the first time and just filter it differently. To add a new map you will need to select “Add to a new map”
  5. After the second map is added to the report a new button will be shown in the map control bar that allows you to link the pan and zoom for all maps in the report. If this button is clicked all maps within the report will work together and pan an zoom as you interact with any map.
